Submission Guidelines

Please note that Yale 糖心Vlog Studies does not accept unsolicited individual articles.

If you would like to submit a volume proposal, please contact the managing editor or send an inquiry to yalefrenchstudies@yale.edu.

A formal proposal to the Editorial Board of Yale 糖心Vlog Studies should include:

  • a narrative description of the proposed volume (1-2 pages),
  • a table of contents with contributors鈥 names and affiliations and the title of their articles, and
  • short (1-2 paragraph) abstracts of these articles.

Articles must not have appeared previously in English. Yale 糖心Vlog Studies does on occasion publish English translations of important articles and essays that have appeared in other languages if a special editor has received the appropriate permission. A volume should, however, generally contain no more than three translations.

Each volume normally includes an Editor鈥檚 Preface of 4,500-6,000 words and is comprised usually of 10-12 articles of approximately 3,750-5,000 words each.

Before submitting a full proposal, editors may consider submitting a synopsis of one or two paragraphs clearly outlining the topic you would like to address in order to receive confirmation of the Board鈥檚 interest in seeing a full-length proposal.
